In Hawaii, grooms have worn masculine leis to their weddings for centuries. To add tradition and beauty to a wedding, there are many types of leis that grooms wear. The ti leaf and maile leaf leis are some of the most traditional leis for grooms. Sometimes these leis have fresh flowers woven in to add some color to the greenery. Some groom’s leis are made from ti leaves with orchids or tuberose woven in. Another masculine lei is the cigar flower lei. Grooms love to receive these lei and to wear them with pride at the ceremony.
