This Thanksgiving, there was much to be grateful for, including the opportunity to participate in a worthy cause and give aloha to families in need this season.

Mahalo to everyone who participated in the 2013 “Thanks for Giving” Canned Food Drive sponsored by Aloha United Way which took place from November 1, 2013 – November 20, 2013. We’re excited to share that more than 1,300 canned goods were donated and we met our goal of 125 baskets!

Our team assembled each basket with care and hand delivered them to the keiki and their families at the Ka Pa ‘alana Traveling Preschool and Homeless Family Education Program. This non-profit program serves families without homes on the Leeward side of Oahu and offers them access to supportive services including a FoodBank, toiletry supplies and a parent-child participatory preschool. We were honored to spend a few hours with these families and celebrating in song and activities.
